Ask a new question. I notice there’s a new column view in my OneDrive folder called ‘Status’ which shows if a file has been downloaded to the local computer. There’s either a blue cloud or a green check. In the past, I’ve never had to click on a file to pull it down from the OneDrive cloud. I cannot find the setting in my OneDrive that changes this. Because files are now not automatically copied into my local computer until they are clicked on, this is causing a problem with other applications.

I have to be able to configure OneDrive to automatically copy any files that are added to a OneDrive folder to all my remote computers, as it has been in the past. How can I change this?

My point is when new features are added, typically Microsoft will deploy these whatever the application is new features in the enabled state, which means the application will now function differently.

To users that are unaware what the new features are, suddenly, your current workflow can be in chaos depending on what the new feature is as was with me when this was rolled out with ODFB. So you then have to spend time hunting down what the problem is to then discover it’s just a new feature MS decided to add on to an application that may or may not have really needed it.

Most of us just don’t have the time to read through all the release notes that come with the constant updates MS releases. I’m just asking if there could be a more effective way of deploying an update. Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. Thanks for your feedback. The way it works is that you “sync” the whole library but only because you can’t live without Windows explorer.

Then you right-click on the folders, for example your templates, that you want to keep permanently on your device. Then you open something with a blue cloud icon, it will download and become a green tick on a white background. The file will stay on your device until you don’t access it for a certain period. Then it will remove itself from your device but still be available in the cloud.

This can be exceedingly frustrating – if you can’t tell. How satisfied are you with this reply? Thanks for your feedback, it helps us improve the site.

This will change them to a green arrow on a solid circle background. Set it up once and use it to your advantage. This site in other languages x.

Solved: OneDrive Download Not Working [8 Ways Included].Make files available offline in a OneDrive mobile app

Ask a new question. About 30 minutes ago I noticed that some of my photos appeared to be “modified 1 minute ago” despite me not touching them. So I attempted to download one of the to find that the file had all of its contents nullified.

The file sizes match the original files, but all bits have been set to null. I can verify this by sublime text:. So naturally, I went to “Restore OneDrive”, but the files were not even tracked on there. I still tried restoring to a week ago but nothing happened, the files remain “modified 30 minutes” ago regardless.

Restore the entire OneDrive. It should take a while to do this. I did this once before. It says to select a change but if I remember correctly I unchecked all the changes.

Try not selecting the custom date but go with a date listed. I remember I had trouble making it work. Threats include any threat of suicide, violence, or harm to another. Don’t select “Custom date”, select one week ago, and try not moving the slider. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community. Ahmet Akkoc. Hi, About 30 minutes ago I noticed that some of my photos appeared to be “modified 1 minute ago” despite me not touching them.

Fix OneDrive sync problems.Onedrive not downloading all files

Ask a new question. I save all my files documents, etc to my OneDrive folder. These documents sync automatically There are the odd document that does not sync and I have no idea why.

If I look at the sync problems, it tells me to try again later or phone the helpdesk. I have done the resetting of onsedrive and it did not work. The odd files just stay away I am lost I have saved Word documents to my OneDrive folder, but when I look later in file manager, they do not appear in the folder.

The problem is that when I need to email it to someone, I cannot see it in the folder to attach it – yet MS Word tells me it is there and I can edit it any way I like. The crazy part is that if I sign onto Office on the web, I can see the files!

SO the files are just not available as an offline copy. This only happens to some documents, not all. Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. Thanks for your feedback.
